We are Christiaan and Rowan de Wit, husband and wife pair that make up DEWITCO. Originally from the bayous of Louisiana and the Dutch North Sea, we have now found ourselves nestled in a small valley town in the North Carolina Smoky Mountains. In these Appalachian mountains, we have decided to dedicate our time to capturing the moments that we've been graced with and to bringing glory to God with the skills He has gifted us with.
We seek to document those like us, who value and treasure the fleetingness of a moment. To document those who seek to feel breath and life in their photos, to document those who want their memories to feel like art.
What packages do you offer?
We offer full day wedding coverage in all of our packages, and all of our packages are tax and travel inclusive. Each package varies on how involved you want us to be in your season (engagement session, rehearsal dinner, welcome party, etc.) Full day coverage is set at $8,000.
What states/countries have traveled to?
Any! We have documented wedding days and different seasons of life in three different countries and nineteen different states. Take us anywhere.
Does your pricing include travel?
Our pricing is inclusive of both tax and travel. One bottom line price for full day coverage on your wedding day.

DOCUMENTARY + EDITORIAL
We have a focus in documentary and editorial style photography. These are both common buzzwords used by wedding photographers today, but what does it mean? With a paired focus in documentary and editorial photography, we are ready to capture moments as they happen and occur, yet we are also fully prepared to give intentional care to moments that render themselves needing care to.
What does this look like on a wedding day? This looks like us being flies on a wall, not seeking to dominate a moment or bring attention to ourselves. Non-intrusively documenting moments as you partake in one of the greatest days of your life. And when it comes time for us to step into a moment, we step in gently and tenderly, so as to again not constrain your day to our desires, but to push you along and re-center you to the most important parts of your day. Above all, we do not operate under our own agenda and shot-list. We do not force your wedding into a box, instead, we allow it to ebb and flow as naturally as possibly. This is how we find it best to capture your wedding day truly as it was.
Our end goal is to deliver you a gallery that helps you step back into your wedding day and relive it from behind our lens. This approach allows us to be flexible, adaptable, and non-intrusive to your wedding day. This approach allows us to document it truly, honestly, and authentically in all beauty and sacred nature.
Life is fleeting and moments pass by so fast, and sadly, your wedding day will be no different. Allow us to step into the fleetingness of it all to allow, so that you can soak it in once it’s all passed. To relive your wedding day one year later, five years later thirty years later. Allow us to work, tenderly and diligently, to deliver a gift that will stand the test of time.
What if we are talking to/considering other photographers to Photograph our wedding?
Choosing your wedding photographer is a huge decision. Your wedding photos are the only things that will exist that show your wedding day outside of your own memories, which is why we don't take this decision making process lightly. We just ask that you communicate with us and keep us updated on where you are in that decision.
WIll you travel to us in our engagement season?
Absolutely. Our travel schedule operates on a "first-come-first-serve" basis. Meaning, we are willing and able to travel anywhere, if we have the freedom in our schedule to do so. If we are available, then travel is already worked into our pricing for your engagement shoot. Take us to what feels like home for you!
How/when will we receive our curated photo gallery?
You will receive a digital gallery link with unlimited downloading allowed and full print rights. The gallery will be delivered 8-10 weeks after your wedding day.

Our work reflects an authentic approach to capturing your real life, in digital and 35mm + 120 photography. We seek to find those who want their wedding day to be intentional, and soaked in for what they are, in all the beauty and chaos they hold. If this is you, then we believe your story deserves to be documented in beauty and authenticity, by the hands of photographers that seek to deliver keepsake from your wedding day that will stand the test of time. We do not impose, but rather embrace, letting your love, your story, your day reveal unfold, with patience and a watchful eye.
How do you incorporate film photography into the process?
We allow your wedding day to inspire us in our film. We have versatility across 35mm and 120 format film on multiple different film cameras. Each camera has its own personality, and we don't operate the same way at each wedding. We let the feelings on your day guide the mediums we choose to document it.
Do you both go to every wedding/session?
As a husband and wife team, we love doing this job together. However, sometimes we do split up, on wedding days and in shoots. If needed, we fill the role with a second shooter that has our same level of quality and style.
Will you dance at our reception?
If you ask us to photograph your wedding, please expect us to bust a move on the dance floor. It's gonna happen.

Above all, we take our deepest inspiration from our Creator, the author of life, beauty, and love. In Him, we have learned our values as artists:
1. Come what may. We cannot control when the sun will rise nor when will it set. We cannot stop the rain from falling, just as much as we can not choose where the sun casts its rays. Yet, we trust that He is in control of all things. During our time together, we are ready to embrace any and all elements, because we know they were divinely chosen.
2. Come as you are. There is beauty to be found in the stories written by the sovereign author. Your story was written just as the stars were numbered and the wildflowers in the mountains bloom. We don’t put expectations on our time together; we aren’t concerned with trends or our portfolio; we are deeply passionate about spending our time creating art from your life, from your love. So, come as you are, come to celebrate that which the Lord has brought together.

DEWITCO. Photography was born out of a desire to document wedding days authentically, honestly, yet in beauty and artistry as well. Riding the balance between art and life, to deliver you more than just documentation of your wedding day. But, instead, to deliver a love letter, woven together with every face, every color, every kiss, of your wedding day.
